Engine trouble is the pattern you cannot ignore: oil leaks are the usual finding and fuel-trim issues ride along, so pop the hood, look for wetness, and scan for codes before you even talk price. These cars tend to drop below decent shape around 95,000 miles, and the 2012–14 generation is in much worse shape than later ones at the same age, so skip that window unless an inspection comes back clean. Aim at 2015 and newer, preferably 2018-plus, then still check tires and cracked bushings and use the leaks and electronics to negotiate hard or walk.
