Summary
This convertible has significant issues across the board and should be approached with caution. On the engine, blue smoke appears after a few minutes of idling, which points to worn oil control rings — a costly internal repair that, left unaddressed, leads to rising oil consumption and worsening smoke. There are also active oil leaks from the oil pan, timing chain cover, and valve cover gasket; while not immediately critical, these should be addressed to avoid low-oil damage and a messy engine bay. Both engine banks show positive fuel trims (around +7% to +8%), meaning the engine is running lean — likely from low fuel pressure, clogged injectors, or inaccurate sensors — and active codes for the variable intake system (including a temperature warning) are present and should be diagnosed.
The steering and chassis show several concerns. The active (variable) steering system is not working, the warning light is on, and it logs hardware and initialization faults — this is a safety-relevant repair that can be expensive. There is also steering play (backlash) and a leaking power steering hose, plus the car pulls to the right. A leaking front right shock absorber and four mismatched tires affect ride quality, handling, and safety, and the uneven tires likely contribute to the pull. These items should be prioritized.
The body raises serious red flags. Paint thickness readings on the doors and especially the quarter panels (up to 550 microns) indicate heavy refinishing and likely filler, and nearly every panel on the car has been repainted — some at low quality, with cracks and uneven gaps. Most importantly, the trunk floor is rotted through due to an acid leak, which is structural corrosion that can spread and is difficult and costly to repair properly. The roof (soft top) is torn and the convertible top does not operate, both of which are expensive on this model.
Inside and electrically there are numerous smaller faults: a cracked dashboard, worn seats/steering wheel/gear selector, sticky door panels, loose parking brake boot, non-working driver's lumbar support, dead steering wheel heater (short circuit), and a faulty left fog light. The transmission shifts well with only minor oil residue at the pan. Overall this is a heavily used, heavily repaired example with one expensive engine issue (rings), a non-functioning steering system, and structural rust — budget accordingly before purchase.Signs of an odometer rollback

Coating thickness
Normal coating thickness - between 80-160μm. Too thick layer indicates overpainting; too thin - nonfactory painting job or excessive wear after abrasive polishing. Coating thickness can be measured only on metal (steel or aluminum) body panels.
